So, we’re officially in a recession, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research.  Everyone is taking it on the chin right now- even puppet shows.  But what about poets?  “The good thing about being a poet is that it is impossible to have an economic downturn. That would mean that at some point there might have been an upturn,” suggests the Seattle Post Intelligencer in a fine article on the poet Ed Skoog.
