Lonely Hearts Poegles

Rebecca Broke My Heart
Rebecca, if you see this, your voice is still amazing.
My heart is heavy with the time we have been apart and
life had other plans and
it was always too dark to see over the horizon.
It’s all lies, Rebecca, all lies.
We used to go together and she used to cheat.
Rebecca broke her tooth off
but she did a fantastic job on my boudoir photos.
It’s all lies, Rebecca, all lies.
The last person that broke my heart?
I only refer to her
by the name
I invented after:
Barfy McVomitron.

The Universe Waits
Take action to understand love.
Ask expectantly;
move boldly.
Search portals,
walls of flame,
gates of scarlet,
openings to a new dimension.
Discover the most powerful force in the universe-
infinite existence-
God

Poetry is science, Poetry is internet

Throughout the discussion, Muldoon demonstrated how poetry incorporates scientific concepts. “The word ‘poem,’ in fact, means nothing more than ‘a construct,’ ” he explained, “a piece of structural engineering that is subject to the laws of physics.”
Muldoon also linked poetry to chemistry, comparing poetic elements, like the components of a simile or metaphor, to the materials in a scientific experiment.

Rather then killing it off, modern technologies like email, social networking sites such as Facebook and online media players are helping poets reach new audiences.
The grassroots scene is now growing, with live poetry readings becoming more popular and more poets getting their own pamphlets published.
Competitions are also booming: the number of entries for the Foyle Young Poets Award more than doubling from 2003 to 2008 to almost 12,000.
