Living in sin

These days it has become the norm for couples to live together before tying the knot. I’ve been living in sin with Annie these past twenty years. We’re almost respectable. My family is Catholic and they don’t believe in living in sin before marriage. Just muddling through life the best I can, making it up as I go along. Some call it living in sin, others call it living in bliss.

You’ve been accused of having a fear of commitment. And with good reason. Is living with your mate before or instead of marriage right for you? Whether you’re thinking about moving in with your boyfriend, plan to, or already have, we wrote The Good Girl’s Guide to Living in Sin just for you.

Living in sin doesn’t cause divorce. Plans moved apace until an unkind neighbor told Eula that by getting married she was publicly admitting that she had been living in sin all those decades. Eula broke down in tears and told her spouse and my parents the wedding was off. I guess I shouldn’t try to generalize from my own experience, but it’s hard for me to believe that living in sin didn’t have a bearing on my own divorce.
