The cooling winds of moderation blow, reversing a virtually uninterrupted forced march to extreme dictatorship. The swing to the left is dictated by the hard facts of economic life. The ruling Party clearly feels betrayed by the new look.
Set against the political backdrop of a massive landslide victory in the general election, we remember what hope is. We remember feeling like the country had finally been given back to us. We remember believing that things can only get better.
Such an outcome would be a disheartening defeat for Arizona Republicans. A Rocky Mountain poll: This election won’t just leave Republicans blue. It’s going to leave them black-and-blue.
